Greetings. I'm new here but I have a suggestion. I've noticed a few posts along the lines of "EGADS! THAT IS NOT STEAMPUNK/CYBERPUNK! THAT IS DIESELPUNK! SAGE! SAGE I SAY!"
I propose to you this, why not create a /d/ for DieselPunk related imagery, hopefully this will not go unnoticed by the moderators.

i'm pretty sure no one said anything like that. has dieselpunk ever been mentioned even once on these boards before you did?

No. 149 mentioned it. when referring to bioshock which is set in a futuristic 1960's.
World War era tanks are diesel to me to new for steam to old for cyber.
so i guess i'm mentioning it too now.
so /d/ would be for stuff thats older but not old enough to be steam or from a post apocalyptic throw back reality to fossil fuel use. i.e. Things that are to close to call between steam and cyber.

then real question is: who really cares? steam and cyberpunk are already pretty much niche genres. is there even that much dieselpunk content out there? it seems to be that the term was created just to label things fell in between, not any real conscious design to create a new genre.

you care if your taking the time to disagree. How would a dieselpunk board affect you negatively. rather than people posting on /s/ going is this steampunk? or people posting on /c/ going is this cyberpunk? I realize that most of them are doing it to be dicks but the ones that don't know could just post it to /d/ieselPunk

The problem is with content. If I notice an overflow of dieselpunk in /s/ I'll throw up /d/, but for the moment, that doesn't seem to be an issue.

This is the Internet. Everyone has time to disagree with everything. But >>76 is my main point. there just isn't enough content to warrant another board.
