Apologies for the crap picture, but here is my first attempt at some Steampunk jewelry for myself. Cog free and heavily inspired by Pre-Raphaelite and Aesthetic Art colors and simplicity, especially the "greenery-yallery" of the beads. Win? Fail? Suggestions?

Hm. Not bad, however I'm unsure about the two rhombs just above the green pendant. If you're trying to go for simplicity I think I'd go without that, otherwise it seems to be a bit... noisy. But otherwise quite nice, I'd love to see more of your work.

Got to agree - it may look nicer without either the two on the chain, or the two just above the pendant - I prefer the teardrop shape the pendant makes. Very nice though!
Win, from my point of view. While I agree that there is a little much going on with this piece, you're very good. Very good. (I'm sure you've moved on from this one by now, though, it's been almost a year.)Which makes me jealous. Because I'm trying to make Steampunk jewelry as well. Cog free because most of my money goes to tuition and living expenses at the moment. These quills (heated and cut, so yes, they actually write if you've got ink), are wild turkey feathers wrapped in various copper wires. ~_^ I like to pride myself in the fact that I learned to coil my copper from making tasers and tesla coils in high school.( http://rolandgridley.etsy.com is my shop, excuse the site drop, if you will.)
