OMG there was indeed another ending and it sucked ballz...The studio didn't like the not so happy ending and had another edited version pieced together...There was a big trial over the whole thing and Gilliams version got distribution and success. The other version aired once here in New York as far as I know...I saw it and it was worse than just the ending. They also edited parts of it in different order making it almost unwatchable. The ending differed in that it ends with our hero driving away into the sunset with the girl. I should hope that this version be treated with all the care that bio hazardous waste is shown and sealed in a concrete blockn then dropped into the Mariana Trench, for good measure.
